Tennis: Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal to be Olympic doubles partners
New Delhi, June 13: Spanish tennis icons Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal will team up as doubles partners at the Olympics Games 2024 in Paris, the media reported on Thursday.
In the Olympics, scheduled in July-August, tennis will be played on clay courts at Roland Garros, the home of the French Open where Alcaraz was the winner last week.
“One pair, which everyone knows and was hoping for, is Carlos and Nadal. They will play together in Paris.” Spain’s tennis national team coach David Ferrer said.
Nadal,38, won the Olympic gold at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing but Alcaraz will be making his debut at the Games next month. The tennis games in Paris are starting on July 26.
