Negative Covid-19 report will be mandatory to enter Uttar Pradesh

Kanpur: Passengers coming to UP from states with high COVID positivity rates – will have to show their Covid-19 the negative report, The State government of Uttar Pradesh decided on Monday. The state government has exempted people who have been administered both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. The negative report should not be more than four days old.

Spokesperson of the UP government said that “The rule will not only be applicable to people coming by air, rail, and road but also to those using private vehicles.”

A Few hours back,  Additional Chief Secretary of Information Navneet Sehgal told the media that “Kanwar Yatra has been canceled by Kanwar sanghs on the appeal of the Uttar Pradesh government.”

The Health Department of Uttar Pradesh reported 56 fresh infections and seven fatalities in the last 24 hours. The new cases pushed the overall tally to 17,07,847, while the death toll has surged to 22,721 with more people succumbing to the disease.

The central government of India and the states’ government are trying to reduce infection of the deadliest virus coronavirus, and trying to vaccinate maximum people in a very short time. According to government data, 40,64,81,493 people have been vaccinated so far in the nation.
