Dhaka government sends 2600 kilo delicious mangoes to India as a memento of friendship
Kolkata: The Bangladesh government on July 4 sent 2600 kilos of delicious mangoes to India as a memento of friendship. Bangladesh took one more step to develop new relations with the New Delhi government. Delicious mangoes were sent through the Petrapole border of Bangaon in West Bengal.
Anupam Chakma, Deputy Commissioner of Bangladesh’s Benapole Custom House said that “Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina has sent the gift of a special variety of Haribhanga mangoes for the President and the Prime Minister of India and other political leaders.”
Assistant Commissioner Customs Petrapole Anit Jain said, “they are hopeful that the sweetness of the mangoes will take away the bitterness of Covid-19.”
According to the data of the External Affairs Ministry (till 29 May 2021), The New Delhi government has exported 10.3 million vaccine doses to the Bangladesh government and 663.698 lakhs to the world so far. India has exported 663.698 lakhs corona vaccines under Grant, Commercial, and COVAX programs.
