New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu is set to visit Odisha on Tuesday for a day-long programme in Rourkela, where she will inaugurate several key infrastructure and cultural projects.

According to the President’s Secretariat, she will inaugurate a planetarium and science centre, along with the Nirmal Munda Parivesh Path, at a public function. The President will also launch a tribal museum and an Integrated Command and Control Centre in the city.

Elaborate security arrangements have been put in place across all venues for the visit. Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, along with other senior officials, are expected to attend the events and interact with the President.

President Murmu had earlier visited her home state in February on a six-day tour, during which she travelled to multiple districts, including Jajpur, Balasore, Puri, and Mayurbhanj.

During that visit, she offered prayers at the Biraja Temple and Shree Jagannath Temple, attended the convocation ceremony at Fakir Mohan University, and took part in events in her home district.

She also visited the Simlipal Wildlife Sanctuary, where she interacted with women and youth from tribal communities, highlighting the region’s biodiversity and cultural heritage.
