Vaccination Drive: India administers around three crore doses so far

New Delhi: The government of India speed-up the vaccination process amid rising coronavirus cases in some states. Around three crore people in India have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine so far.

The official data of the government says – the country’s COVID-19 recovery rate reached 96.68 percent with a total recovery of more than 17 thousand patients in the last 24 hours.

The Union Health Ministry said that “More than one crore ten lakh patients have already been recovered from this disease. Presently, the total number of active cases in the country is over two lakh 19 thousand which comprises only 1.93 percent of the total positive cases.”

The government of India registered 26,291 cases on March 14. The Health Ministry said 118 deaths have been reported during the last 24 hours taking the toll to over one lakh 58 thousand across the country.

The Indian Council of Medical Research said that various laboratories have conducted more than seven lakh three thousand tests of coronavirus samples during the last 24 hours and more than 22 crores 74 lakh tests have been done in the country so far.

Amid rising coronavirus cases in six states could be a new challenge for the government in the future. New Delhi government may take advance and strict steps to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the nation.
