The US to Open Tourists Visa Appointments in September
New Delhi: Wait to meet family members or friends residing in the US is going to end very as the US has decided to open tourist visa appointments in September.
The United States will be resuming in-person tourist visa appointments from next month, bringing relief to thousands of families who have been eagerly waiting to meet relatives and friends living in that country.
The US embassy in a statement said, “We are resuming routine in-person tourist visa appointments in September 2022.
Previously, scheduled placeholders have now been canceled. Applicants whose placeholder appointments were canceled may now re-enter the scheduling system to book regular appointments,”
In June, the US government lifted the requirement for international air travelers to take a COVID-19 test within a day before boarding their flights, easing one of the last remaining government mandates meant to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
The UK and Switzerland have managed to streamline the processing and reduce the waiting period.
However, New Students – Student (F and M) visas for new students can be issued up to 120 days in advance of the start date for a course of study. However, students are not allowed to enter the United States on their student visas more than 30 days before the start date.
