New Delhi: A statement issued by the National Resistance Front (NRF) said that the Taliban attacking civilians in Panjshir Province. We strongly condemn the Taliban’s large-scale and deliberate attacks on civilians in Panjshir province.
According to NRF, after suffering heavy losses in multiple encounters with NRF forces, the Taliban have resorted to a sustained campaign of massacring civilians across the province. Evidence abounds about the group’s war crimes that border on genocide.
This comes after the Taliban on Monday claimed victory over Panjshir declaring that the valley has been captured.
Panjshiri leader Ahmad Massoud is leading the force of the National Resistance Front. Pictures went viral on social media showing Taliban members standing in front of the gate of the Panjshir provincial governor’s compound after days of fighting with the NRF.
Panjshiri leader Ahmad Massoud said that “We are in Panjshir and our Resistance will continue. I am safe, but will not reveal anything about my locations.”
