New Delhi: The scientist who had discovered many things about the deadliest Ebola virus warned for another virus ‘Disease X’. Scientist Jean-Jacques Muyembe-Tamfum is microbiologist and he was part of the research team that investigated the first known outbreak of Ebola virus disease in 1976.

Tamfum said that “The ‘Disease X’ is hypothetical, but could be deadly and the world could be hit by another deadly virus, termed ‘Disease X’. The disease is likely to be as fast-spreading as the COVID-19, and as deadly as the Ebola virus.”

Tamfum expressed his views on the ‘Disease X’ and said “humanity must beware since more deadly diseases are likely to be discovered in the near future. More disease can spread from animals to humans and have the potential to threaten life.”

Many incidents have already occurred in the past and diseases such as yellow fever, influenza, rabies and even COVID-19 seem to have transmitted from animals into humans and causing pandemics or epidemics. The future pandemics could be more-worse than deadliest COVID-19 coronavirus, Scientist said.

According to a media report “There are new and potentially fatal viruses emerging from Africa’s tropical rainforests.”

The world had just started to go back to normal, as various vaccines around the world received approvals from their respective regulatory bodies for emergency use, and vaccinations rollouts were being planned.

According to the media report – the patient who had shown signs of ‘Disease X’ faced hemorrhagic fever, he went to an Ebola test, but doctors fear that it could be signs of ‘Disease X’ -which stands for unexpected, unrecognised diseases that are likely to follow the COVID pandemic, and cause worldwide trouble soon.

The results for the Ebola test came out negative and reports suggest that the new pathogen could spread just as fast as COVID-19.
