The Flight service between India and the UK to remain close till January seven
New Delhi: The government of India on Wednesday announced that the flight service between India and the UK will remain suspended till 7 January 2021. Government will resume its services under a strictly regulated scheme.
On official social media account – Minister for Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri tweeted that “Decision has been taken to extend the temporary suspension of flights to & from the UK till January 7, 2021.”
Earlier, The Civil Aviation Ministry had suspended flight service between India and the UK from December 23 to December 31 to stop the entry of a new strain of coronavirus in India.
India reports 20 cases of new variants of the coronavirus so far and more than 10 countries have detected the new strain of coronavirus in its nationals.
Many other nations have already suspended the flight service with the UK after the London government informed them about new coronavirus strain in the UK.
