New Delhi: Gujarat Giants ousted Telugu Titans 34-32 in a gruelling match of the Pro Kabaddi League at the Sheraton Grand, Whitefield, Bengaluru, on Wednesday, February 09, 2022. Telugu Titans won the toss and chose the right side of the court, whereas Gujarat Giants went to raid first.
The match began with Gujarat’s Mahendra Rajput getting a touchpoint off Surinder Singh in the opening raid. Telugu’s Rajnish Dalal made a toe-touch on Gujarat’s Girish Ernak and equalised scores 1-1. Telugu’s Adarsh T conducted a do-or-die raid, but Gujarat inflicted a super tackle and pushed him off the mat.
Gujarat’s Rakesh Sungroya conducted a successful do-or-die raid, followed by a successful super raid from Telugu’s Galla Raju. Telugu’s C. Arun and Surinder super tackled Gujarat’s Rakesh Narwal and avoided the All Out. The first half ended in a draw 14-14.
The second half began with a super tackle. Though Gujarat’s Pardeep Kumar failed to make a touchpoint off Surinder and became self-out, Surinder stepped outside the mat. Both teams gain a point. Gujarat inflicted an All Out to take a three-point lead. Meanwhile, Telugu’s Mohammad Shihas earned a bonus.
Rajnish ousted Gujarat’s Sunil Kumar, who went for a raid and earned a super 10. Adarsh conducted a do-or-die raid and got a running leg off Parvesh Bhainswal. Adarsh T conducted an All Out, pushed three opponents off the mat, and received four points.
Girish dashed and pushed Telugu’s Ankit Beniwal during the latter’s do-or-die. When Galla Raju conducted a do-or-die, Girish made a massive dash to push him off the mat and earned a High 5. The intriguing match was a close competition between the teams. However, Gujarat Giants took a two-point lead and scored 34-32.
