Moscow’s Announcement of Troop Withdrawal is False: White House
New Delhi: The announcement of Russia’s withdrawal of troops from the Ukraine border is ‘false’, and has added 7000 soldiers more at the Ukraine border, a senior White House official on Wednesday claimed.
According to the US and NATO countries, there is no sign of Russian troop withdrawal. The Russian military buildup at the Ukrainian border is being described as Europe’s worst security risk since the Cold War.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that “We are not afraid of anyone, of any enemies. We are seeing small rotations. I would not call these rotations the withdrawal of forces by Russia,”
However, The US and NATO countries are taking strict actions against Russian Military actions at the Ukraine border, when on the other side, No country stands by the side of Moscow. The United States has pinned hope on India that it would stand by its side in case if Russia invades Ukraine.
State Department Spokesperson Ned Price said that “There was a strong consensus in that meeting that there needs to be a diplomatic — a peaceful resolution to this. One of the core tenants of the Quad is to reinforce the rules based on international order, and that is a rules-based order that applies equally in the Indo-Pacific as it does in Europe as it does anywhere else. We know that our Indian partners are committed to that rules-based international order. There is any number of tenets in that order. One of them is that borders cannot be redrawn by force.”
The European Union (EU) has informed India about its plans for the future course of action in case Moscow invades Kyiv. An EU official confirmed that the 27-nation bloc has kept New Delhi in a loop over the Ukraine crisis.
