New Delhi: To commemorate its 72nd Foundation Day, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) launched a portal at the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC), Embassy of India, Kathmandu, on Saturday last.

The Indian Alumni Portal will connect all foreign scholars who have studied in India, including ICCR scholars.

The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu informed that they held the event as part of the INDIA@75 Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav festivities, with the goal of strengthening friendships among the ICCR graduates.

Namgyal Khampa, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India in Kathmandu, who inaugurated the event in the presence of prominent ICCR alumni in Nepal and actress Manisha Koirala, said the ICCR had created a large pool of India’s well-wishers through scholarships and fellowships.
