New Delhi, April 23: Italian football club Inter Milan won Serie A for the 20th time in their history, the media reported on Monday.
Inter Milan became the Italy champions after beating AC Milan FC 2-1.
Francesco Acerbi and Marcus Thuram scored for Inter Milan while AC Milan’s goal was scored by Fikayo Tomori.
Inter Milan’s coach, Simon Inzaghi, who won Serie A for the first time said, “It’s an incredible sensation. We did something incredible and it’s only the right time to share it with as many people as possible.”
So far, Inter Milan FC is the second team to win the most Serie A titles in Italy, while Juventus FC is the first one with 36 Serie A titles.
Since 1908, when Inter Milan was founded, the club has won 36 trophies in Italy including 20 Serie A titles and nine Coppa Italia. Beyond Italy, the club has also won three UEFA Champions League and one FIFA World Cup.
