A 4.6 Tremblor Jolts Kohlapur
New Delhi: An earthquake measuring a magnitude of 4.6 on the Richter scale jolted the Kohlapur district of Maharashtra during the early morning hours on Saturday, July 09, 2022.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) shared a seismograph on Twitter, highlighting the affected areas. The tremblor was felt around 06 am.
“Earthquake of magnitude 4.6 occurred on July 09, 2022, 6:24 am IST on latitude 17.05 and longitude 75.65 with a depth of 10km located 154 km ENE of Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India,” the NCS tweeted.
No reports of damages or casualties surfaced so far.
Several parts of India like the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the Leh and Ladakh region have been facing several tremblors this year.
