New Delhi: Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju today said that a Vikisit Bharat requires a healthy, empowered and drug-free youth, noting that substance abuse can hinder the potential of a country’s youth. Addressing the Yuva Samvad on Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat in New Delhi, Mr Rijiju said that any society which comes under the grip of substance abuse, it affects the whole generation. He called for making awareness, prevention and collective action essential for Nasha Mukt Bharat.
Mr Rijiju stated that through initiatives like Nasha Mukt Bharat’ and the Fit India Movement, the youth are being encouraged to adopt a healthy lifestyle, making sound decisions, and channeling their energy into nation-building. He added that India is leading in many fronts including digital campaign, green technology and social sectors and is emerging as the growing economy in the world.
