All that glitters: Silver prices cross Rs. 1 lakh/kg; gold climbs up Rs.430/gm

New Delhi: Silver prices hit an all-time high on Friday, while gold climbed up by 430 per gram, with strong global cues, according to the All India Sarafa Association.
For the fourth session in a row, the white metal bounced by Rs. 1,194 to settle at Rs. 1,05,637 per kilogram in Mumbai. Earlier, on March 19, the silver prices were recorded at an all-time high of Rs.1,03,500 per kg.
Analysts said that silver hit a record high in the domestic market due to strong fundamentals.
The most traded July contract for silver futures rallied by Rs 3,833, or 3.78 percent, to hit an all-time high of Rs 105,213 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange. Additionally, gold futures for August contracts climbed Rs 635 to Rs 99,214 per 10 grams.
