Tremblor: Earthquake of magnitude 4.1 strikes Andhra Pradesh
New Delhi: An earthquake measuring a magnitude intensity of 4.1 on the Richter scale struck the Pangin district of Andhra Pradesh around 8 am on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) took to Twitter and shared a seismograph highlighting the affected areas.
Informing about the tremblor, the NCS wrote, “Earthquake of magnitude 4.1 occurred on March 15, 2022, 08:21 am IST on latitude 30.08 and longitude 95.18 with a depth of 10 Km located 215km North of Pangin, Arunachal Pradesh, India.”
There was no immediate report of loss of life or property.
According to the NCS, the Pangin district had previously suffered a 4.3 magnitude earthquake on February 06, 2022.
“Earthquake of magnitude 4.1 occurred on February 06, 2022, 10:59 pm IST on latitude 30.71 and longitude 96.40 with a depth of 10 Km located 305km North-Northeast of Pangin, Arunachal Pradesh, India,” the NCS had tweeted.
