Pro Kabaddi League: Patna Pirates Defeat Gujarat Giants 43-23
New Delhi: Patna Pirates defeated Gujarat Giants 43-23 in the Pro Kabaddi League at the Sheraton Grand, Whitefield, Bengaluru, on Friday, February 04, 2022. Patna won the toss and chose the right side of the court, and Gujarat went to raid first.
Gujarat Giants raced to an early 11-5 lead by inflicting an All Out in the 8th minute. Patna responded with an All-Out and levelled scores 14-14. Patna’s Neeraj Kumar and Mohammadreza Chiyaneh Shadloui combined to take Rakesh Sungroya down, and Patna’s Guman Singh took down two defenders as Patna won the first half by two points.
The next half began with Guman diving past Gujarat’s Hadi Oshtorak, Parvesh Bhainswal, and Pardeep Kumar and conducting a successful All Out. Patna took a massive 9-point lead. On the other hand, Shadloui executed an impenetrable ankle-hold on Gujarat’s Ajay Kumar and earned a High-5.
Patna’s Sachin Tanwar conducted a Super raid and bagged four touchpoints. Meanwhile, Guman bagged a super 10. The Super Raid was immediately followed by another All Out for Gujarat. Patna eventually won the match by 20 points at 43-23.
