New Delhi: Team Tamil Thalaivas ousted Bengaluru Bulls by 42-24 points in the Pro Kabaddi League at the Sheraton Grand, Bengaluru, on Sunday, January 30, 2022.
Bengaluru’s Chandran Ranjith began the first half with a successful raid and a bonus. On the other hand, Bengaluru’s Pawan Sehrawat made a diving hand touch and took M. Abhishek off the mat. Tamil’s Sahil Gulia held Sehrawat by the ankle and earned a point. Bengaluru’s Deepak Narwal conducted an All Out raid before Tamil’s Surjeet Singh Narwal pushed him off the mat. Tamil took Pawan down and doubled their lead 12-6.
Deepak conducted another All Out but got mobbed without a single point. Tamil maintained a 20-6 lead. Tamil players Ajinkya Pawar and Sagar Rathee formed a chain and trapped Pawan. Ranjith conducted another successful raid. The first half ended with Tamil leading at 21-8 points.
Tamil’s Manjeet Chillar conducted a raid in the second half and picked a bonus. Meanwhile, Ajinkya conducted a do-or-die raid and gained two more points. Manjeet escaped Bengaluru player Mahendra Singh’s hold but failed to cross the line.
Manjeet conducted another successful raid and made a touchpoint off Bengaluru’s Jaideep Dahiya. He even conducted an All Out and gave Tamil a lead of 34-12 points. Bengaluru made a comeback when Pawan conducted a raid and received a bonus from Sagar, who gave the opponent a touchpoint and a weak ankle-hold.
Meanwhile, Sagar took down Bengaluru’s Bharat Naresh and gained a High Five. Ajinkya won a Super 10, followed by a Super Tackle from Pawan. The tackle went in vain, and Tamil won the match against Bengaluru with 42-24 points.
