Rajkot: Problems of the people of Rajkot city will be solved easily and fast as Rajkot’s Gandhigram police station developed a people-friendly system in the station. Interaction of Rajkot police with people will change as city police have introduced a ‘Visitor Management System’ based on AI (Artificial Intelligence) that processes visitors’ issues with efficiency.
According to Gandhigram PI K A Vala, The system was inaugurated on August 15. A new system is working like whenever a visitor comes to a police station, their picture is captured by the software and is linked to their mobile number and ID.
“Visitors are issued tokens like in banks. The officer concerned gets a text message/call with details of the visitor and the issue that needs to be resolved,” PI K A Vala said.
On the ‘Visitor Management System’ Manoharsinh Jadeja – Rajkot DCP said that he used to often get complaints from people about not getting correct information over their issues despite visiting the police station three-four times. When the DCP checked, he found that there was no mechanism to keep track of visitors and what had happened during the visit. That is when he felt the need to have a set-up to record visits and provide visitors with correct data and analytics instantly.
