New Delhi, March 30: The 11-year-old girl named Leena Refeeq who developed the artificially intelligent application that will detect significant eye diseases with nearly 70 percent accuracy.

Leena, an 11-year-old Dubai-based Malyali girl, used a social media platform to tell the world about her creation. On LinkedIn, while revelling about her creation, she wrote, “Exciting news! I am thrilled to announce the submission of my new artificially intelligent mobile app.”

She has given a name to this app: “Ogler eyescan.” The Al application uses a scanning process through the iPhone. Leena was 10 years old when she started to develop this application. She has spent nearly six months just on research and development. “The app was developed with the swiftUI without any libraries or packages,” wrote Leena on her LinkedIn account.

While revelling in the app’s information, she wrote, “Using advanced computer vision and machine learning algorithms, Ogler can analyse various parameters such as light and colour intensity, distance, and look-up points to locate the eyes within the frame range. It also identifies any light burst issues and if the eyes are positioned exactly inside the scanner frame.”

To make the checking process for eye disease more accurate, Leena learned about the different eye conditions, computer vision algorithms, and the advanced level of Apple iOS development. Her app is currently supported on the iPhone 10 and above with iOS 16 and more. It is currently being reviewed in the App Store.
