New Delhi: The OTT giant Netflix released the first trailer of the highly anticipated second season of the period romance series, Bridgerton 2, on Friday, March 11, 2022. The series will release on March 25, 2022.

The upcoming season will follow Anthony Bridgerton, who announces his intention to settle and find himself a bride.

The trailer opens at a ball with an official announcement regarding Bridgerton’s wish to find a bride.

After the previously failed romance, Anthony believes in finding a wife that suits his mind rather than his heart. Soon, Edwina Sharma and her elder sister Kate Sharma are introduced to the family.

Though Edwina is looking for a charming groom, a protective Kate only wishes the best for her sister.

Kate roasts the Viscount on his archaic requirements for a future wife and horse-riding skills during one of the parties. Kate’s strong character leads to an underlying tension between the duo.

However, in trying to judge Anthony’s character and intentions towards his sister, Kate and Anthony gradually fall for one another instead. The two are unable to convey or act upon their feelings.

Meanwhile, viewers can find marriage preparations in full swing, with elaborate balls and a Haldi ceremony for Edwina.

Other subplots include Lady Whistledown, who can not look Luke in the eye, and Queen Charlotte throws her out of the good books and wants her unmasked. Meanwhile, Anthony’s sister Daphne appears in the trailer as she helps her brother make the right decision.

The upcoming season of the period romance is replete with drama, romance, and emotions with an ensuing conflict between the desire and the mind.

The series also stars Adjoa Andoh, Lorraine Ashbourne, Harriet Cains, Bessie Carter, Shelley Conn, Nicola Coughlan, Phoebe Dynevor, Ruth Gemmell, Florence Hunt, Martins Imhangbe, Claudia Jessie, Calam Lynch, Luke Newton, Golda Rosheuvel, Luke Thompson, Will Tilston, Polly Walker, and Rupert Young.
