We will judge the Taliban by their actions: Joe Biden tells G7

New Delhi:  US President Joe Biden on Tuesday to the Group of Seven (G7) leaders the US will judge the Taliban by their actions in Afghanistan. The US aimed at completing the Afghanistan evacuation by august 31.

The United States has evacuated about 70,700 people out of Afghanistan since August 14. President Biden clarified that with each passing day, the US troops are at risk of being attacked by the Islamic State. Since the end of July, the US has relocated nearly 75,900 people.

President Biden to the G7 nations said that “G7 leaders, EU, NATO, United Nations have agreed to stand united in our approach to the Taliban. We’ll judge them (Taliban) by their actions and we’ll stay in close coordination on any steps that we take moving forward in response to Taliban behavior.’

In a detailed statement, the G7 group said that “the Taliban will be held accountable for their actions on preventing terrorism, on human rights, particularly those of women, girls and minorities, and on pursuing an inclusive political settlement in Afghanistan”.

The statement given by the World Bank said that it has suspended financial aid to Afghanistan and was “deeply concerned” about the prevailing situation in that country. “We have paused disbursements in our operations in Afghanistan and we are closely monitoring and assessing the situation.”

A situation developed in Afghanistan converting into a huge problem for all the nations of the world. Political actions and support of several countries may a responsible for more violence and unstable situations in Afghanistan.
