Use of military force outdated: Says Dalai Lama on China’s aggressive act at ladakh
New Delhi: Not only the world has noted India’s legal and aggressive stance against China’s unlawful activities in the Ladakh region, but the Tibetian spiritual leader Dalai Lama has also countered the illegal activities of China with many countries.
Spiritual leader Dalai Lama said, “Use of military force is outdated,” he once again advocated a peaceful resolution to the ongoing tensions between India and China along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh.
The spiritual leader’s remarks came ahead of his visit to Ladakh, where he is likely to spend over a month.
China accuses the Dalai Lama of indulging in “separatist” activities, however, the Tibetan spiritual leader insists that he is not seeking independence but “genuine autonomy for all Tibetans living in the three traditional provinces of Tibet” under the “Middle-Way approach”.
The 87-year-old spiritual leader told reporters in Jammu, “Some Chinese hardliners consider me a separatist and a reactionary and always criticize me. But now, more Chinese are realizing that the Dalai Lama is not seeking independence and only wishing China (to give) meaningful autonomy (to Tibet) and (ensure) preservation of Tibetan Buddhist culture,”
The Dalai Lama, whose real name is Tenzin Gyatso, received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989 and is feted worldwide for his advocacy of independence for Tibet and other causes.
However, the experts have also said that, Military power is not the correct option to solve any problem with any country. China must underdstand this things and should not think to use military at anywhere in the world.
