The Rashtrapati Bhavan to reopen for public viewing

New Delhi: The Rashtrapati Bhavan will reopen its gates for the general public next week. According to the President’s Secretariat, the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum complex will open for public viewing.

People can visit the Museum complex from March 08, 2022, onwards. The complex will remain open from Tuesday to Sunday, except on gazetted holidays. “Visitors will be allowed in four pre-booked time slots maximum limit of 50 visitors per slot,” the Secretariat said in a statement.

The four-time slots for visiting the complex are 0930 – 1100 hrs, 1130 – 1300 hrs, 1330 – 1500 hrs, and 1530 – 1700 hrs.

However, people can take a tour of the Bhavan from March 12, 2022, onwards and will open every Saturday and Sunday, except gazetted holidays, in three pre-booked time slots 1030-1130 hrs, 1230-1330 hrs, and 1430-1530 hrs with a maximum limit of 25 visitors per slot.

The newly developed Arogya Vanam will also be part of the Rashtrapati Bhavan tour.

The change of guard ceremony will also resume next week onwards. The ceremony will be held every Sunday, except gazetted holidays, between 0800 and 0900 hrs from March 12, 2022.

The government officials restricted entry for the general public on January 01, 2022, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Visitors can pre-book the slots online to avail the tour, the museum, and the change of guard ceremony.
