New Delhi, June 10: Spanish youngster Carlos Alcaraz won his first French Open on Sunday after defeating world no.4 Alexander Zverev, the media reported.
Alcaraz won 6-3,2-6,5-7,6-1,6-2 against Germany’s Zverev. “Probably this one is the moment that I’m proud of myself, because of everything
that I’ve done the last month just to be ready for this tournament with my team. A lot of works with them.” Alcaraz told reporters after the match.
This victory made Alcaraz, 21, the youngest man ever to win Grand Slams on all three surfaces in tennis history: the US Open, Wimbledon, and the French Open.
