New Delhi: Indian tennis players Rohan Bopanna and Ramkumar Ramanathan continued their brilliant run after a thrilling win over French players Sadio Doumbia and Fabien Reboul in the Tata Open Maharashtra 2022 doubles semi-finals at the Balewadi Stadium, Pune, on Saturday, February 05, 2022.

The Indian duo outclassed the French by making a sensational comeback in the tie-breaker to wrap up the match in their favour 6-4, 4-6, 12-10. Playing together for the first time, Bopanna and Ramkumar clinched their maiden title in Adelaide earlier this year.

The No. 2 seeded pair will take on the top-seeded Australian duo of Luke Saville and John-Patrick Smith in the Tata Open Maharashtra 2022 finals. The final matches of all singles and doubles categories will be played on Sunday, February 06, 2022.

Meanwhile, Portugal’s Joao Sousa ended Swiss player Elias Ymer’s run at the tournament to enter the singles final. Sousa fought back and won the nail-biting semi-finals with 5-7, 7-6 (7-4), 7-5 scores. He will face sixth-seeded Finnish player Emil Ruusuvuori in the summit clash.
