Stay Alert and Be Safe: India reports more than 90000 Covid-19 cases in a single day
New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry registered 90928 new covid-19 cases in a single day. Every Indian should be more alert and try to keep their selves safe as new variant and old variant cases have steadily risen in the past few days. The Omicron tally has also climbed to 2630 with a daily positivity rate of 6.43 percent.
However, out of the total Omicron positive cases, 995 have been discharged from hospitals. So far 26 states have reported Omicron infection, said the Union health ministry.
As of today, Maharashtra has 797 Omicron cases followed by Delhi at 465, Rajashtan 236, and Kerala 234 cases.
19,206 patients recovered from the disease during this period taking the total number of recoveries in India to 19,206 recoveries in the last 24 hours increases Total Recoveries to 34,341,009. The recovery rate currently is 97.81 percent.
ICMR head Dr. Balram Bhargava said that “Omicron was now the predominant circulating strain in cities and all mass gatherings should be avoided.”
The ministry further termed that Maharashtra, West Bengal, Delhi, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Jharkhand, and Gujarat are States of concern where there has been a rise in coronavirus infections.
