New Delhi, June 3: Former England rugby star Rob Burrow, 41, passed away after suffering from motor neuron disease(MND) since 2019, the media reported on Monday.

His former club, Leeds Rhinos, confirmed his death through a statement on Sunday: “He passed away at Pinderfields Hospital near his home.”

Prince of Wales William and his wife Catherine condoled the player’s death in a message to his family: “Burrow taught us, in a world full of adversity, how we must dare to dream. Catherine and I send our love to Lindsey, Jackson, Maya, and Macy.”

Burrow represented England and Great Britain. At the club level, he played for Leeds Rhinos for 16 years, winning eight Super League Grand Finals, three World Club Challenges, and two Challengers Cups.
