Robert Pattinson’s The Batman to be the Longest Dark Knight Film Ever!
New Delhi: Filmmaker Matt Reeves’ upcoming film, The Batman, will become the longest-running Dark Knight movie in history. The makers revealed the runtime of the DC comics-inspired film on Friday, January 21, 2022.
The PG-13 rated film is expected to be 2 hours and 55 minutes long, with nearly 8 minutes dedicated to end credits. Though the longest superhero film is Zack Snyder’s Justice League, with a runtime of 4 hours and 2 minutes, the director’s cut did not have a theatrical release.
The longest superhero film to be released theatrically is Avengers: The Endgame. The film lasts for 3 hours and 1 minute. Once released, the Robert Pattinson starrer will become the longest of all Batman movies ever made.
Christopher Nolan’s version, The Dark Knight Rises, is currently the longest-running film of 2 hours and 44 minutes, followed by The Dark Knight and Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (2 hours and 32 minutes), and Nolan’s Batman Begins (2 hours 20 minutes). Meanwhile, Joel Schumacher’s Batman Forever lasted 2 hours and 1 minute.
The Warner Bros and DC superhero will continue to fight crime in the second year. Bruce Wayne will uncover corruption and fight the villain as Batman to unite his family and save Gotham City from a serial killer, the Riddler.
Robert Pattinson will essay the titular role, followed by Paul Dano playing the Riddler, Zoe Kravitz as the Catwoman, and Colin Farrell transforming into the Penguin. The other cast includes Barry Keoghan, Peter Sarsgaard, Amber Sienna, Andy Serkis, Jeffrey Wright, and John Turturro.
Directed by Matt Reeves, produced by Dylan Clark, and written by Reeves and Peter Craig, The Batman will release on March 04, 2022, in the United States of America.
