Pro Kabaddi League: Bengaluru Bulls Defeats Gujarat Giants 46-37
New Delhi: Bengaluru Bulls defeated Gujarat Giants 46-37 in a gruelling match of the Pro Kabaddi League at the Sheraton Grand, Whitefield, Bengaluru, on Friday, January 14, 2022. The Giants won the toss and chose the right side of the court, while the Bulls went to raid first.
Rakesh Sungroya got 2 tackle points and 2 raid points and gave the Giants an early 4-1 lead. However, an error from Gujarat’s Sumit Malik led to Bull’s Bharat Naresh crossing the mid-line that revived Pawan Sehrawat. Pawan conducted a Super Raid and bagged a 3- point advantage for the team. The bulls gained a 5 point lead.
However, Rakesh responded with a super raid and ousted 3 defenders to claim the lead. Gujarat’s Parvesh Bhainswal and Hadi Oshtorak made a Super tackle to raid Pawan. Bharat Naresh and Pawan pushed Bengaluru to lead in the first half with 22-17.
The second half began with the Bulls tackling 2 Giant players off the mat. Meanwhile, Gujarat’s Rakesh and Suni Kumar tackled Pawan to gain a point. Bull’s Saurabh Nandal made 4 points as he single-handedly pinned Giants players off the mat for an All Out.
Though Gujarat’s Hadi managed to keep All Out at bay, Pawan tagged defenders across the midline and pressured Hadi into stepping out of the line to score 4 points. Gujarat trailed by 9 points, and the Bull sustained the lead to win by 46-37.
