Prime Video unveils first look of Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah
Mumbai: Popular OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video, unveiled the first look of protagonists Vidhya Balan and Shefali Shah in an upcoming Bollywood film, Jalsa. Jalsa will have a global premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 18, 2022, in India and across 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Jalsa is a social drama-thriller about class differences in society. It is an engrossing and compelling story about conflict told through the eyes of a top-notch journalist and her cook. The performances and narrative promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
While the new fascinating posters do not reveal much, Vidya Balan will portray a journalist and Shefali Shah will play a cook in the flick.
Director Suresh Triveni has earlier collaborated with Vidya Balan for the critically acclaimed Tumhari Sulu. The duo is now coming together for a second feature.
Vidya Balan shared it on her Instagram handle with a caption that read, “The real story hides beneath her smile. Super excited to announce Jalsa streams on March 18 at Prime Video India.”
The film also stars Rohini Hattangadi, Iqbal Khan, Vidhatri Bandi, Gurpal Singh and Surya Kasibhatla. Manav Kaul will have a special appearance.
