New Delhi, March 27: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences over the death of late actor and former MP Innocent Vareed Thekkethala, who passed away at the age of 75 on Sunday.

The Malayalam actor was facing some serious health problems, and then he was admitted to the VPS Lakeshore Hospital in Kochi, where he took his last breath on Sunday. He was 75.

“He has been under our care and treatment since March 3, 2023. COVID-related respiratory issues, along with multiple organ failure and a cardiac arrest, led to his death.” Issued the Lakeshore Hospital authority on their medical bulletin.

A few years ago, the actor was diagnosed with cancer; however, in 2015, he announced that he was free from cancer, and he even wrote a book titled “Laughter in Cancer Ward” during his illness, in which his battle with cancer is mentioned.

Recently, the actor Vareed has been working on Paachuvam Albhuthavilakkum, which is set to release on April 28 and will also be the official last movie of the actor Vareed. He has given his contribution to the film industry and been on the silver screen for five decades. He debuted in 1972 with the film Nrithasala and was featured in over 750 films.
