Official trailer of Panchayat Season 2 releases on Monday
Mumbai: The makers released the first official trailer of the Jitendra Kumar starrer web series, Panchayat season 2, on Monday, May 09, 2022.
The trailer of the Amazon Prime Video series shows the engineer-turned Panchayat secretary Abhishek battling new obstacles in Phulera despite bonding with villagers, especially Vikas and Pradhan Ji, on a deeper level.
The official synopsis of the series reads, “With newer issues plaguing the villagers, how will Abhishek manage to balance it all and let the right prevail? Peppered with slice-of-life moments and ample doses of humour, Panchayat Season 2 promises to captivate audiences just like the first one.”
Speaking about his experience on the show, lead actor Jitendra Kumar said, “Growing up within the limits of a small town myself, I could relate to the dilemmas and hesitance of Abhishek right from day one, though he had a bigger challenge of transitioning into the rural life.”
“This resonance somewhere helped me get into the character’s skin and reprise him better. As a character, the constant oscillation of wanting to make it big and standing in solidarity with the villagers is what makes Abhishek so relatable and unabashedly real,” he added.
Talking about the upcoming season, Kumar said, “Into the second season, he is much more level-headed and at peace with himself as he steers through the concerns in Phulera. It was an amazing experience to work with such a talented cast, and I am looking forward to the global premiere of Panchayat S2 on Prime Video.”
Featuring actors like Neena Gupta and Raghubir Yadav, Panchayat Season 2 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on May 20, 2022.
