No plan for lockdown in Delhi, says CM Arvind Kejriwal

New Delhi: Chief Minister of Delhi on Friday confirmed that the state government has no plan to impose lockdown in the city in the viewing of the steady rise of coronavirus.

In the last few days, the Delhi government reported a noticeable hike in the case of coronavirus, and around 3500 new cases are registered in the last 24 hours.

Kejriwal said that “This rise in cases now is the fourth wave. We are taking all possible measures, but there is no need to worry,”
Kejriwal further added that “The Delhi government is focusing on COVID-19 vaccination and inoculated nearly 71,000 people yesterday alone.”

The total number of cases stood at 665,220 on Thursday. Over 6.43 lakh patients have recovered from the infection. The Central government is also taking necessary steps to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the nation.

According to the data of the Health Ministry – Around 6.87 crore people in India have vaccinated so far. Lakhs of people in India have vaccinated India daily.

Health experts also believe that – fast vaccination and follow the guidelines of coronavirus is the only way to stop the transmission of coronavirus. People should not be careless because cases in the country are rising daily.
