- Under Electronics & Information Technology recently three new initiatives named NIXI Academy, IP Guru and NIXI-IP-INDEX launched by National Internet Exchange of India.
- IP Guru which is also known as IPv6 and providing services free of cost.
- IP Guru is joint effort of MeIT and Telecom Department.
- NIXI-IP Index is a portal specially for internet community. This will showcase IPv6 adoption rate in India as well as in the world.
- NIXI Academy is specially created to educate non-technical as well as technical people. This academy will teach technology like IPv6 which is generally not taught in education institution.

- Here IP stands for Internet Protocol.
- IPv6 actually sets rules on data delivery over public network.
- IPv6 is currently latest version of IP and known as IPng (ng means next generation).
- NIXI is basically NPO (Non Profit Organization) which was established in 2003.
- Main purpose of NIXI is to spread internet infrastructure in India.
