- MOXIE means Mars Oxygen In-Situ Resource Utilisation Experiment.
- NASA recently converted CO2 in to O2 using MOXIE.
- MOXIE is an instrument was which was placed in font side of Perseverance rover.
- MOXIE is also known as “Mechanical Tree” because using electricity and chemical reaction it split carbon molecules in to Carbon and Oxygen.
- In first run, MOXIE produced 5 gm of Oxygen which is equal to 10 minutes of breathable Oxygen for an astronaut.
- In one our MOXIE can produce 10 gm of Oxygen.
- One ton version of MOXIE can produce 25 ton of Oxygen.
