• MOXIE means Mars Oxygen In-Situ Resource Utilisation Experiment.
• NASA recently converted CO₂ in to O₂ using MOXIE.
• MOXIE is an instrument was which was placed in font side of Perseverance rover.
• MOXIE is also known as “Mechanical Tree” because using electricity and chemical reaction it split carbon molecules in to Carbon and Oxygen.
• In first run, MOXIE produced 5 gm of Oxygen which is equal to 10 minutes of breathable Oxygen for an astronaut.
• In one our MOXIE can produce 10 gm of Oxygen.
• One ton version of MOXIE can produce 25 ton of Oxygen.
