Malayalam actor VP Khalid passes away
New Delhi: Famous Malayalam actor, VP Khalid passed away due to cardiac arrest on Friday, June 24, 2022. According to sources from the Malayalam film industry, the 70-year-old actor was on the film sets when the incident took place.
VP Khalid was shooting for the latest directorial venture of Jude Anthony when he suffered a massive cardiac arrest. Khalid went to the restroom after breakfast on the sets on Friday.
When he failed to return after a long time, the crew went looking for him and found him in a semi-conscious state. Though he was immediately rushed to the hospital, doctors pronounced VP Khalid brought dead.
Khalid was a popular stage actor and worked with Alleppey Theatres for a long time before doing noteworthy roles in films. However, he received recognition and fame when he began acting in TV serials.
He is survived by wife and three sons namely, Shaiju, Jimshi and director Khalid Rahman.
