Makers release official trailer of Ottu
Mumbai: The makers released the first official trailer of an upcoming Malayalam film titled Ottu. The film will release in theatres on August 20, 2022. The film is slated for an Onam 2022 release.
Production company, Goodwills Entertainment, took to social media and announced the official trailer with a caption that read, “The official trailer of the Fellini TP movie Ottu starring Kunchacko Boban, Arvind Swamy, Jackie Shroff, and Isha Reba has been released.”
Meanwhile, actor Kunchacko Boban also posted the teaser on his Instagram handle.
The trailer begins in the midst of a shootout with loud and blaring gunshots. The violent shootout unfolds near huge billboards of American gangster films, including A Fistful Of Dollars and The Good Bad And The Ugly.
The scene is replete with a lot of action, including a voiceover that narrates, “Nobody knows what went down or who attacked them that day.”
Soon, the viewers are introduced to the life of ruthless gangster. Known as the moniker, Dawood, had temporarily lost his memory after a violent encounter. This is where Kunchacko Boban’s character of Kichu comes in the picture.
When a bunch of influential people ask Kichu to shadow Dawood and betray him for a larger cause, the duo enters into an unlikely friendship instead. However, the trailer is a constant reminder of how characters in the Ottu universe can trust no one.
The drama thriller also features Jackie Shroff and Eesha Rebba in significant roles and marks Swamy’s return to the Malayalam cinema.
Directed by Fellini TP, produced by Arya and Shaji Nadesan, written by S Sanjeev, with music by music by Arulraj Kennady, Ottu will feature actors Kunchacko Boban, Arvind Swamy, Jackie Shroff, and Eesha Rebba in pivotal roles.
