New Delhi: Gokulam Kerala Football Club (FC) ousted Hans Women FC by a whopping 9-0 during the Indian Women’s League at the Capital Stadium in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha on Saturday, April 23, 2022.
The Kerala FC coach Anthony Andrews said before the match, “Our approach will be to progress from where we left and work on the area of self-improvement and control the game from the start. We need to be more clinical in front of the goalmouth and convert our chances.”
The Kerala FC charged aggressively against Hans Women and scored five goals in the first half, whereas Hans failed to defend or score till Half-time.
The final half began with Kerala FC scoring almost immediately. Hans FC tried to defend their box but in vain. Kerala FC scored four more goals and won the match 9-0.
Key footballer Savi Mehta refrained from playing with Hans Women FC due to an injury. Hans FC failed to win three consecutive matches.
