Entertainment: Juhi Chawla, R. Madhavan honored with “Champions of Change” awards

New Delhi, Feb 27: Former President Ram Nath Kovind honored Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla and actor R. Madhavan with the “Champions of Change” awards here on Sunday.

The Gandhi Mandal Foundation and the IFIE organized the event at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.

Juhi Chawla posted a video of herself accepting the award, captioning “Behind every champion, there is a team that prepares him to become that champion… thanking everyone who touched my life for helping me learn, grow, and support whatever I could do for the society, honored and humble.

The Three Idiots actor R. Madhavan also expressed his gratitude on Twitter

In the comment section, the fans and other Bollywood celebrities congratulated the two stars

Former President Ram Nath Kovind shared photos of the winners on his Twitter account, congratulating them.

The “Champion of Change” award, founded in 2011, intended to promote Gandhian values (Swachhata), community service, and social development. The awardees were selected by the members of a jury headed by K.G. Balakrishnan, a former Chief Justice of India.

Earlier, other celebrities like Sonu Nigam, Hema Malini, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Sushmita Sen, and Suresh Oberoi received the award.
