ED conducts searches at 10 premises in Odisha and West Bengal in SI exam paper leak case

Bhubaneswar: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting search operations at ten premises in Odisha and West Bengal in connection with the alleged leakage of the Sub-Inspector Recruitment Examination 2024 question paper in Odisha. Officials at the ED said that the case originates from an FIR registered by Odisha Police in October last year and was subsequently transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

According to the investigation, 114 candidates were intercepted by Odisha Police on 30th September last year, while they were travelling in three buses near Ichhapuram on the Odisha-Andhra Pradesh border. The candidates were allegedly being taken to obtain leaked question papers in exchange for amounts ranging from 15 lakh to 30 lakh rupees per candidate.

ED noted that during the probe, role of agencies and associate persons are being examined. The Agency added that searches are also being conducted at premises linked to Silicon Techlab Private Limited, Panchsoft Technology Private Limited, their directors and other persons.
