New Delhi: The schools in New Delhi will remain open despite the sudden rise in the Covid-19 related cases. The Disaster Management Authority (DMA) of New Delhi conducted a meeting on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.
The Authority issued new guidelines surrounding the rapidly increasing cases. According to the guidelines, wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing has become mandatory in the National capital.
As per the guidelines, all students and school staff must wear masks, else the authorities will penalise them with Rs. 500.
The DMA will consult experts before preparing standard operating procedures (SoPs) for the schools. A detailed list of SoPs will be released shortly for all schools.
The SoPs will include clear guidelines to be followed by all school authorities, staff members, and students. Meanwhile, in case of covid19-related symptoms, the parents are advised to refrain from sending their ward to schools and colleges.
The authorities also plan to keep a check on social gatherings and cases for at least a fortnight.
