New Delhi: With more than 18000 new cases in 24 hours, The total active Covid cases crossed the one-lakh mark at 1,04,555 in the country. As per the latest updated data of the Union Health Ministry, India recorded 18,819 new Covid-19 cases and 39 deaths in the last 24 hours. The country has witnessed a jump of more than 4,000 cases in a single day.
On Wednesday India logged 14,506 new Covid cases taking the total tally of such cases to 4,34,33,345, and that of the active cases to 99,602. India recorded 30 deaths due to coronavirus, and with it, the death toll has climbed to 5,25,077 on Wednesday.
All healthcare facilities have been advised to report influenza-like illness (ILI) cases. “District surveillance officers will be responsible for analyzing data and a proportion of 5% of such (ILI) cases shall be tested through RT-PCR,” stated the health ministry.
