Boxing: Former UFC champion Ngannou’s son passes away
New Delhi, April 30: Former heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou announced the death of his 15-month-old son on Tuesday.
“My little boy, my mate, my partner Kobe was full of life and joy. Now he’s lying without life. I shouted his name over and over but he’s not responding.” Ngannou wrote on his Instagram account.
Ngannou’s fellow UFC fighter Conor McGregor was among the fighters and fans to send their condolences to Ngannou. “I’m so sorry to hear of your loss Francis. My prayers are with you and your family at this time.”
Ngannou had last fought in March when he lost to Antony Joshua in Saudi Arabia.
After failing in heavyweight, Ngannou is set to return to MMA where his career started.
