Adani Foundation’s Community Health Project has been named runner-up in Best CSR Excellence in Healthcare category at the Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM). The award was presented at SOOCHAM’s Healthcare Summit in New Delhi on October 12.

Manhar Chavda – Senior Project Officer and Mukesh Parmar – Doctor in Community Health project was present at the grand event to accept the Award on behalf of their team based in Mundra, Gujarat.

The award was presented by Chief Guest – Smt. Roli Singh, Additional Secretary & Mission Director (NHM), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India and Dr. Upasana Arora, Co-Chairperson, ASSOCHAM Healthcare Council and Chairperson, Yashoda Super Specialty Hospital.

Quality, accessible, and affordable healthcare is a shared responsibility of public and private sector and in this context as well as with an objective to improve of health sector in India. ASSOCHAM organized the Healthcare Summit and Awards – Accessible and Affordable Quality Healthcare. The day-long event saw eminent professionals deliberate on the need of the hour- affordable and sustainable healthcare. Further, other organizations that have shown excellence in the field were also recognized.

“It is a matter of great pride for us to receive this award for the healthcare efforts in Mundra. Only a healthy nation can thrive, and we are committed to serve our people through our hospitals and various healthcare services,” shares Pankti Shah, CSR Head – Gujarat.

This win is another feather in Adani Foundation’s cap. The Foundation is bringing healthcare to remotest of regions, ensuring good health of people that is critical for development of a nation.

Adani Foundation has pioneered several innovations under its Health programme in Mundra in Kutch region of Gujarat. These innovations comprise of new methodologies to address the different aspects of health needs among the most marginalised communities, especially malnourished children, women, people suffering from kidney problems and senior citizens. Committed to “Health for All”, the Foundation runs Mobile Health Care Units, Rural Clinics, Special Innovative projects i.e., fighting to Malnourishment in Mundra and Dialysis project and variety of Health-related camps.
