United States: Absconding gangster Himanshu Bhau, wanted in India for multiple murders and organised crime, and another fugitive Neeraj Faridpuria have been arrested by law enforcement agencies in the United States. The two were arrested together in Las Vegas on 22nd of October following inputs from the Haryana Special Task Force (STF). The action was carried out with the assistance of the US immigration enforcement agency (ICE). Haryana STF is in touch with US authorities and central agencies to secure their deportation to India.
Himanshu Bhau, whose real name is Himanshu Ritoliya, hails from Rohtak in Haryana. He is a rival of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and was on the most-wanted lists of the Haryana and Delhi Police. Several cases, including murder, kidnapping and extortion, have been registered against him and his associates across Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. An Interpol notice has also been issued against the notorious gangster in August 2023. According to the police, he obtained a passport using forged documents before leaving India.
Neeraj Faridpuria, a resident of Haryana’s Palwal district, was also living in the US at the time of his arrest. More than 25 criminal cases have been registered against him.
