New Delhi: Economist Parakala Prabhakar, actor-activist Prakash Raj, and Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke will be among those leading a nationwide protest on Friday (October 23) against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar. Mr. Prabhakar said, “Har gali me Jantar Mantar!”

The protest is expected to bring together activists, public figures and supporters concerned about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The organisers are demanding accountability from the Election Commission and calling for Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to resign. Parakala Prabhakar’s slogan, “Har gali me Jantar Mantar!” reflects the call to take the protest to streets across the country. The demonstration is expected to focus on electoral transparency, voters’ rights and concerns surrounding the revision process. Further details about the protest venues and participation are awaited.
