Super Bowl: Post-parade, one person dead, over 20 shot at in Kansas City
New Delhi, February 15: After the parade of Kansas City Chiefs for the Super Bowl-winning on Wednesday, one person was killed and more than 20 people, including children, were shot at in pleasure firing in Kansas City, USA, police said.
The deceased, identified as a local DJ, was working on KKFI radio 90.1FM. The violent incident has brought back America’s notorious gun laws into debate.
“It is with sincere sadness and an extremely heavy and broken heart that we let our community know that KKFI DJ Lisa Lopez, host of Taste of Tejano, lost her life,” KKFI radio shared on Facebook. US President Joe Biden urged the Congress to work on banning assault weapons.
“It is time to act, that’s where I stand. And I ask the country to stand with me.to make your voice heard in Congress so we finally act to ban assault weapons, to limit high-capacity magazines, strengthen background checks, keep guns out of the hands of those who have no business owning or handling them,” the White House, quoting him, said.
In this parade, an estimated one million people were in Kansas City for the Kansas City Chiefs parade after Super Bowl-winning.
