Commonwealth Games 2022: Actor Chris Hemsworth calls Mirabai Channu a Legend
Mumbai: Hollywood actor Chris Hemsworth lauded Indian athelete Mirabai Channu and said that the Commonwealth Games 2022 (CWG) gold medalist is worthy of Thor’s hammer. He even went on to call her a legend.
The Australian actor plays the character of Thor, the God of Thunder, in his recently released Marvel Studios film titled Thor: Love and Thunder.
Mirabai took to Twitter and shared a few photographs of her victory on August 01, 2022, with a caption that read, “Lifting 201 kg never felt easy but thanks to the love and wishes of billions back home, every challenge is just an attempt away.”
Several fans liked and commented on her post. One such comment tagged Chris Hemsworth and read, “Time for Thor to give up his hammer.”
Actor Chris Hemsworth replied to the comment recently and wrote, “She is worthy! Congrats Saikom, you legend.”
On the other hand, an ecstatic Channu relied to Hemsworth’s comment with “Thank you so much, Chris Hemsworth, always love to watch you.”
Thor is a character from the Norse Mythology. There is a myth that surrounds the infamous weapon of Thor. His hammer, also called Mjolnir, cannot be picked by any other superhero in the Marvel franchise.
The hammer is used as a devastating weapon that brings destruction and as a divine instrument to provide blessings.
